The Dawn of a New Era

As my mom and dad would always say when the election coverage would come on the TV. "This is History being made!" Of course what 16 or 17 year old really cares about History being made. I have to say though, today was the first time I really felt like I was a part of changing the course of History. Maybe because this is the first real change that I've been a part of in my life. Just think, either a Woman will be in the White House or an African American will be in the White House. Can we truly be standing on the edge of a greater time in History? What changes will occur in the next 4 years? How will preconceptions and viewpoints change? How will the direction of the country and the world change? I have to say it is exciting to be setting a stake in the sand and knowing that you have been a part of creating the history of the world.
